Your résumé

0 words

Job description (optional)

Paste the posting to score keyword coverage — the biggest ATS factor.

Analyzed entirely in your browser. Your résumé is never uploaded.

How it works

  1. 1

    Paste or upload

Drop in your résumé text, or upload a PDF, DOCX, or TXT. It's read in your browser — never uploaded.

  2. 2

    Add the job description

Optional but recommended. It's what turns a generic review into a keyword-match score for that specific role.

  3. 3

    Fix the findings

Work through the ranked list — ATS blockers first, then impact and clarity — and re-run.

What an ATS actually does

An applicant tracking system parses your file into fields — name, contact, work history, education, skills — then ranks you against the job's requirements, mostly by keyword overlap. Anything it can't parse is invisible to the recruiter who reviews the shortlist.

The usual failure modes are structural: multi-column layouts and tables, contact details trapped in a header or text box, non-standard section headings, dates the parser can't read, and image-only PDFs. This tool checks for each of those in the text it can extract.

Strong bullets vs weak bullets

Recruiters skim. A strong bullet starts with a past-tense action verb and contains a number: “Cut checkout time 43% (90s → 51s), lifting conversion 12%.” A weak bullet describes a duty: “Responsible for improving the checkout flow.”

The review counts how many of your bullets are quantified and how many open with a strong verb, and flags filler phrases (“team player”, “proven track record”) that take up space without adding evidence.

Keyword match

Paste the job description and the review pulls out its most-weighted terms, checks which appear in your résumé, and lists the ones that don't. Add the missing terms wherever they're genuinely true of you — in your bullets and your skills section, in the same words the posting uses. Don't stuff keywords you can't back up in an interview.

Frequently asked questions

Is my résumé uploaded anywhere?

No. The file is read and analysed entirely in your browser using local code. Nothing is sent to a server, and there's no account.

Which file types work?

PDF, DOCX, and TXT. PDF and DOCX are parsed in the browser. If a PDF is a scan or image, very little text comes out — which is exactly what an ATS would see, and the review will tell you.

How is the score calculated?

Five sub-scores — ATS, Keywords (only with a job description), Impact, Clarity, and Format — each from fixed rules, combined into an overall score. Every result has a 'How is this calculated?' panel. There's no AI and no market data.

Will a high score get me the job?

No. This is a structural review: it checks that your résumé parses cleanly, matches the posting, and presents achievements clearly. It can't judge whether your experience fits the role.

Should I keyword-stuff to beat the ATS?

No. Add the posting's terms only where they're true of you. A résumé that clears the parser but falls apart in the interview doesn't help you.
