Terms of Use

Last updated August 29, 2026

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Worthshift (the “Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

The service

Worthshift provides free, browser-based calculators that help you estimate and compare the value of jobs, compensation, commuting, and related costs. There are no accounts. The figures you enter are processed in your browser.

Not professional advice

The Service is for general informational and comparison purposes only. It is not financial, investment, tax, accounting, legal, or career advice, and it does not take into account your particular circumstances. It is not a substitute for advice from a qualified professional. Decisions you make based on the Service are your own responsibility.

Estimates and accuracy

All outputs are estimates produced from the information you provide and from general assumptions built into each tool. They deliberately exclude income taxes and many personal factors, may be simplified, and may contain errors. Actual compensation, costs, and outcomes will differ. You are responsible for verifying any figure before relying on it. The methodology shown on each page describes the assumptions in effect and may change without notice.

Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use the Service.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service in a way that breaks the law or infringes others' rights;
  • attempt to disrupt, overload, probe, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or its infrastructure;
  • scrape, copy, or republish the Service's content at scale, or frame or mirror the Service without permission;
  • remove or obscure any notices, or misrepresent the Service's output as guaranteed or as professional advice.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its text, design, calculators, and code, is owned by the operator of Worthshift and protected by intellectual property laws. You are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the Service for your own decision-making. You keep any rights you have in the values you enter; we claim no ownership of them.

Third-party links

The Service may link to third-party sites and tools. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Following those links is at your own risk.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that its estimates are correct.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator of Worthshift and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss of income, savings, opportunity, or data, arising out of or related to your use of or inability to use the Service, even if advised of the possibility. To the extent liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to USD 100. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator of Worthshift from claims, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.

Changes to the service and these terms

We may modify or discontinue the Service, in whole or in part, at any time. We may also update these Terms; the “last updated” date above will change and, for material changes, we will provide reasonable notice on the site. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the revised Terms.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or limit access if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms or to protect the Service.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which the operator of Worthshift is established, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and the courts of that jurisdiction will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, unless mandatory local law provides otherwise.

General

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remain in effect. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding the Service.
